Tis the season to give.
If you aren't sure of a Cause that you would like to make a contribution to this year, here are three that are near and dear to our hearts here in the Sirmans' house. I will provide links for you to follow +
*Babylegs*
This is happening in honor of our sweet kindred spirit Gavin - who passed away just before Thanksgiving. Gavin's mom, Karen, is making sure that the children in Dupont Hospital are warm and cozy this holiday. Babylegs are legwarms for children. They are especially helpful for kiddos who are continually connected to tubes - where pants are difficult to keep on and little legs get cool. Most of you might remember me cutting wholes in all of Ivey's onesies because of this problem.

You can also have Babylegs sent directly to Karen and she will deliver them to Dupont.

*Scottish Rite Children's Hopital*
Our home away from home. The hospital is able to provide excellent care to children with the help of donations from the community - this is so near and directly dear to our hearts!

*Center for the Visually Impaired*
The CVI is in Atlanta and supports persons who are blind or visually impaired. This is such a great and incredible resource for the visually impaired community. It is truly an amazing place full of amazing people. We are so proud of its BEGIN program. The CVI also has an incredible store with items for blind/vi people. It is called the Visability Store. Check it out!

I hope this gives you all something to consider this holiday season - all of these causes are to help others who walk through this world a little differently than the rest of us - but they make this world worth living in - because of all of these causes, Ivey's world is a better place to live in +
Confessions from the mind of this sleep deprived mom navigating the world of complex medical needs, deafblindness, and special education. And y'all, it may not always be pretty, but it's real, and it's always for the love of Ivey.
